MIDWEST ASIAN BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO
MAY 2, 2009 - 8:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M.

Congratulations and many thanks to all the players, coaches, parents, sponsors and volunteers whose participation and support helped to make our 29th annual tournament a success.

Tournament Coordinator Gene Lee of The Dragon’s Athletic Association, acknowledged and thanked Alderman Danny S. Solis of the 25th Ward ,University of Illinois at Chicago and AthletiCo for their assistance and support. Gene Lee also thanked coachs John Chan, Delwyn Liang & Tony Liang, along with Daron Lee, Evan Lee, Eric Lo, & T.J. Moy for their coordination and hard work in Tournament Control, special thanks to Anita Lau for her administrative assistance and all the Dragon’s volunteers who work to make this year’s tournament another success.

B -Division, 18 and Under
1st Place: Dragons Kids - Chinatown
2nd Place: Dragons Seed - Chinatown
3rd Place: Northwest Sub. - Chinese School

E-Division, Asian Open
1st Place: Chicago SELECT - Indo-American
2nd Place: Chicago KO - Korean-American
Consolation: RUCKUS - Pakistan-American

F-Division, Friendship
1st Place: Dragons - Chinatown
2nd Place: JR’s Team - Chinatown
3rd Place: Dragons DNC - Chinatown

Gene Lee took this opportunity to announce that the Chicago Dragons WW and Dragons DNC will be with 57 teams from other cities attending the North American Chinese Basketball Tournament” in Fort Lauderdale, Florida during the Memorial Day weekend on May 22 - 25, 2009. This tournament was started in Chicago back in 1981 as a national event to showcase the best Chinese-American basketball players.
