CHICAGO NISEI ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION, "Journey to the Tourney", 2012/2013 Championship
On March 24th, 2013, Commissioner Bajla Nishibayashi congratulate the "SUNS",
new Champions of the CNAA - Asian Basketball League.
The SUNS fought back in the second half of the Championship game to defeat the # 1 seeded
Junior Varsity of the regular season to capture this years "March Madness Title".
The season started back on Dec. 2, 2012 with 11 teams, 8 top teams making the playoffs,
concluding with hard fought semis and championship games. The stands were packed,
standing room only as the fans cheered wildly for their teams!!!
Commissioner Bajla thanked all the teams, team representatives, Erin Rochford, ED, Valentine
Boys and Girls Club, Nick McBride, Assistant to the Commissioner and Game Officials for their
participation and support for the Chicago Nisei Athletic Association in operation since 1946.
